Volkswagen unveiled the concept car Up Taxi, which may be a future contender for the classic black London taxis.

Like a cross between Polo and Touran, VW Up Taxi is clearly inspired by the traditional black cabs in London, while it is timely for both outside and inside.

The three-door electric car weighs just 800 kg and are luxuriously furnished with leather seats and large touch screens in both the front and rear.
Electric motor is powered by two lithium batteries and providing 112 hp.
VW Up Taxi has a range of 300 km when fully charged. Top speed is rated at 120 km / h.
So it remains to see if VW put Up in production.
